Amazon
Senior Engineer, Amazon (AWS). I work on AI/ML performance and infrastructure, optimizing systems for large-scale machine learning workloads. (If you're comfortable naming it, "AWS's Annapurna Labs" adds weight—your call.)

SpaceX
Senior Engineer, SpaceX (Starlink). I led the design and launch of Starlink's global payments platform and ran its authorization services. I rebuilt the consumer financial application from scratch—improving performance roughly 10x—co-led a critical database migration, hardened the platform against foreign threat actors, and launched a LATAM installments program that doubled regional sales.

Share Creators
Interim Engineering Manager, Share Creators. After the company raised its Series A, I stepped in to lead engineering—growing the team from 2 to 20+, rebuilding the backend for scale, developing generative-AI art tooling, managing frontend product development, and standing up the company's office in China. Have been an advisor for multiple years before and after

Meta
Senior Engineer, Meta. I worked across AI/ML, AR/VR, and crypto, leading data-pipeline and processing work that delivered a 6x throughput improvement for ML in cross-platform AR/VR. I contributed tooling for the open-source VRS file format and, as a C++ expert reviewer, led internal training to raise engineering standards.

Alphabet (Verily)
Engineer, Alphabet — Project Baseline. I provided backend and infrastructure support for the clinical-trials platform behind the Pfizer COVID-19 trial, and led the backend refactor that let it scale. I also worked with Google Brain on applying AI/ML to high-level hardware synthesis.

ClimateNet
ML for extreme weather (with Stanford). A deep-learning model that identifies events like cyclones from atmospheric data, aimed at helping lower- and middle-income countries respond to climate change. Recognized as an outstanding project in Stanford's CS230 and presented at ICLR 2023. (I cut the "currently working on publishing temporal segmentation" line—if that collaboration is still live, say so; if it's dormant, leave it as a 2023 milestone.)

AdsorbRL
RL for catalyst design (with Stanford). Deep multi-objective reinforcement learning for inverse catalyst design targeting CO₂ adsorption. Published and presented as a poster at the AI4Mat workshop, NeurIPS 2023.

SimplyVital Health
Co-Founder, CTO & CSO. I built the decentralized network, care-coordination platform, and data marketplace from the ground up, owned security as CSO, and helped grow the platform to ~200 businesses.

Anorak VC
Partner & Technical Advisor. I'm a partner at Anorak VC and a technical advisor to several other funds, evaluating startups' technology, teams, and use cases.

Open Source
I contribute to TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Ethereum, among other projects. More on GitHub: @lhendre.

Publications
Five publications, available on my Google Scholar and ResearchGate pages. Highlights: computer vision for early diabetes detection (Journal of Biophotonics); recovery properties of alumina nanocapacitors (Nature); ClimateNet, deep learning for extreme-weather prediction (ICLR 2023); AdsorbRL, RL for catalyst design (NeurIPS 2023); and early work on quantum tunneling transistors.

Security & White-Hat Hacking
I led my company's security team and have competed in security competitions and bug-bounty programs, including work on HackerOne and participation in the U.S. Department of Defense's vulnerability-disclosure program.

Capital One
Tech Lead, decentralized-technology R&D—taking blockchain projects from concept to MVP. I also worked on an AI fraud-detection team and a web team that contributed to Masterpass.
